My front porch is a haven to me and my family.  It is a place that many things happen daily.....meals, conversations, prayer, working on home projects, decorating, star gazing, people watching, dreaming, playing the guitar, telling stories, laughing....and just sitting around taking in life.

From my life experience so far (half a century), "relaxing" is a very important activity.  When I relax, I'm at my best...no matter what it is.  When I'm at the other end of the spectrum...uptight... I'm at my worst.  My front porch is an ongoing visual parable that speaks to me the message, "come relax and unwind".

I parallel the invitation of my porch to the invitation that the Lord Jesus graciously extends to all people at any moment...."come to Me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest".

The invitation is always open....I think I'll go relax on the front porch...

Thoughts about the art I create

I have been creating art professionally for over 25 years.  It is something I love doing (most of the time!).  I believe that my strongest skill is something beyond the "execution" part of the job...it is the "expression" part that comes from within me.  I identify it as "anointing". I enjoy "the hunt" of finding my visual voice on each project.  I am a firm believer in the expression, "a picture is worth a thousand words".  My Inspiration for creating art lives inside me....the Creator of the Universe, Jesus Christ.  I am not ashamed to state that...He is reality for me, not a concept.
